KAR-Lehtonen offers its customers tank inspections with years of experience and expertise. Our background as a tank manufacturer guarantees that we have complete knowledge of tank technology and helps us find different types of structural wear. In addition to tanks, we also inspect all piping parts, actuators, vehicle equipment, and safety equipment related to the tanks – according to customer wishes. During the inspection, we also provide tank maintenance and repair services so that any deficiencies can be corrected efficiently and quickly. Without long-term downtime.
Our inspection services are utilized by transport companies, shipping operators, dispatching companies, and other entities using tank equipment. We offer inspection services to Finnish companies as well as operators in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
Expertise and prevention – comprehensive reporting
Regular inspections of equipment are an important preventive measure to locate any hidden problem areas. Tank inspections require a high level of professionalism, as the inspection is mainly carried out inside the tank.
Our experienced inspectors are thoroughly familiar with the structures of the tanks. They are trained to locate any creep and strain that could cause problems over time. When done in time, small repairs save the customer a lot of money, preventing larger equipment failures from developing.
The results of the inspection are reported to the customer comprehensively and in plain language,
so that a person unfamiliar with tank technology also gets a clear overview of the condition of the tank.
The findings of the inspection are presented objectively, and the report will include recommendations on possible follow-up measures.

Full-service solutions for operators outside of Finland
Our location in the vicinity of the ports offers us the opportunity for efficient logistics and comprehensive service for operators outside of Finland. Once our customers have delivered their tank equipment to the ship, we take care of the rest.
We pick up the vehicle from the port and bring it to our own premises in Lieto. We then inspect, maintain, and repair the equipment and take care of the measures to return it. The repaired equipment will be delivered to the ship and will be back in use soon. All this we can offer at a competitive price.
We have extensive knowledge about the Nordic and Baltic regulatory requirements for ADR and pressure equipment.
